It’s a tall, upright plant, so plan on staking (or it’ll flop around like it’s had a long lunch).

Tomatoes are nitrogen-hungry, so prep your patch with nitrogen-rich green manure (peas/broad beans) or mix in compost + chook manure about a fortnight before planting. Aim for full sun, well-drained soil, and ideally don’t plant where tomatoes grew last season.
