If you want a cucumber that just gets on with the job (no drama, no sulking), Cucumber – Cucumis sativus ‘Richmond Green’ is a winner. It’s known for being very disease resistant and producing loads of smooth, dark green fruit that typically reach around 20cm — ideal for slicing.

It’s one of those “pick often, get more” plants — harvesting regularly encourages extra production, so you can be pleasantly ruthless with it.

Plant it in a sunny spot with well-drained, moderately fertile soil, enriched with compost and well-rotted manure ahead of time. Aim for a soil pH around 6.5–7.0.

This is imported seed and is treated with Thiram.
